Respect.

I've been in this business for a few years, and have been pretty accommodating to my client's wishes. I usually will send out proofs the day of the shoot or the day after, depending on my schedule. These proofs are a little teaser until you get the full package of images. I don't know how many other photographers do that, but I do it because it's something I'd want if I were a client. I take my time editing each individual image, because I like for the images to be perfect. My photography not only reflects how you look, but also how my business looks.

With that said, I need at least a week to complete a (standard) session. I don't know how many more times or ways I need to say this. I've had several clients asking me if their session is done after 24 hours. You have to respect the fact that along with careful editing, I have children too. Most of my clients have children. You know as a mother, that you cook, clean, help with homework, and do so much more. I need my clients to realize that just because I'm a photographer, does not mean that my job as a mother stops for you. I'm being extremely lenient in giving you your packages after 7 days. I've also been extremely lenient in pricing. So as long as I've been respectful to you all, I expect the same respect in return. Thank you :)
